18.- Pet Shop Boys - New York City Boy (DEBUT)
19.- Leonardo De Lozanne - Las Luciérnagas
20.- Garth Brooks - The Dance

Garth Brooks' best song makes its appearance for the first time here. A wonderful ballad that was planned to have a video and all, but the song didn't become a single, so we had to wait until the end of 2005 (or '06?) to watch the video for it, but it was so worth it! And at 18, Pet Shop Boys enter with the mildly mediocre song "New York City Boy", the song is too simple and the video sucks! I liked it back then.

20.- Leonardo De Lozanne - Las Luciérnagas (DEBUT)

Leonardo De Lozanne, once the singer of Fobia, released "Series De Ficción" his solo album, but recived too much citicism for this great album. "Las Luciérnagas" was a trip-hop influenced song that didn't become a single, but I liked it then. I still like it a lot, but the female backing vocals just do not go well with the song.

I discovered this song thanks to bad weather, so the radio was receiving stations from the US, so I discovered this country station and loved it... while it lasted.

Boy bands were the IN thing during 1999, and I liked them! jajajajaja. Anyway, I can't remember how "Crazy For You" goes, it's from 'N Sync's debut album, but it also seems to be erased from memory... and if we add that a person stole it shamelessly from me... ARGH! Anyway! Five aalso debuted this week with the first single from their second album, the catchy "If Ya Gettin' Down". And one (if not THE ONE) of my favorite male artists debuts with a song from his 1995 album "Forever Blue", becaue during this time period, it was used to promote the movie Eyes Wide Shut. And it was great, cause they made a very sexy video, roar!! Chris Isaak is the name of the game.

Tori Amos is back! This time with the double A-side single "Hey Jupiter/Professional Widow" (which many people still refer to as Proofessional Window... jajaja) A gorgeous ballad and a really really abrasive song. For these two songs, I used the original versions, not the remixes. And ex NKOTB Joey enters with his first solo single.

This song didn't enjoy much success, and it was barely promoted, so it's a shame it remains as an obscure single from their career

More country music please! At 10, Tim McGraw enters with the song that hooked me, "Please Remember Me", a wonderful song. And for a little while he continued making good music, but ultimately, nowadays he sucks. And entering at 19 the duo of Garth and Trisha, they were not married then, but they are now.

At 16, Fey enters with the dance ready song "Cielo Líquido", but to this day, I do not understand why it is called like that. It really makes no sense, cause the lyrics are normal and follow certain pattern, but it would be equaly reasonable to call the song "Airy Water" or something like that, anyway, it's a cool song. At 18, another lame attempt to keep charting Portsihead. At 19, Creed. I also do not understand the hatred for this band, there surely were many other lesser bands who received much less criticism, another unexplainable thing in the world. And coming at 20, the duo of Sopra Contrariar and Gloria Estéfan with "Santo Santo", I still remember the video.

Semisonic also enter with a song that for me is their best one on their albumm "Feeling Strangely Fine", the song is "Made To Last". Nowadays, Dan Wilson, frontman of the group, is about to release a solo album, so a new Semisonic album seems distant now. And finally, at 19, No Doubt's comeback song "New" a very catchy song.
