And at 17, the biggest success of the time, Céline Dion with "My Heart Will Go On". that song was played even in all spanish speaking music channels and radio stations, it was crazy!! And finally Fiona Apple enters with "Shadowboxer". This was the first chart of 1998! And as a point of reference, these was the top 10 of the year according to the World Chart Show:

19.- Fiona Apple - Sleep To Dream (DEBUT)
20.- Spice Girls - The Lady Is A Vamp (DEBUT)

Céline was a musical force to be really considered at this time, at least for me, grabbing number one from Björk and still debuting songs. At 13, we have Eros Ramazzotti, following the trend to debut old songs, he does it with "Favola" a wonderful song. On 16, we see Gary Barlow is not ready to (make nice? jajajaj) give up as he enters with "Hang On In There Baby" a track that has this retro sound. Björk also didn't miss the chance, on the middle of the "Homogenic" glory, to sneak in another song "I Miss You" from her album "Post" and also added to "Telegram". Fiona Apple when she was making decent music had the priviledge to debut in my chart with "Sleep To Dream" at 19. And Spice Girls debut too.

19.- No Doubt - Different People
20.- Aqua - Turn Back Time (DEBUT)

"Homogenic" remains as almost a masterpiece, so it's nothing weird to see songs from that album in my chart, and they were strong songs everytime. "Bachelorette" and "Pluto" debut this week. Missy Elliott was a new artist and this was her first single "The Rain", which had a sample of Tina Turner! Here she debuts at 12. At 16, something strange happens, U2 debuts with "One", why? I have no clue. In 18, No Doubt with yet ANOTHER song, this time "Sixteen", which I think is the worst song on "Tragic Kingdom". And finally at 20, a pretty nice song from what I remember, "Turn Back Time" by Aqua. Oh yeah, and this chart was made during my birthday!!

And Eros claimed another number one, too bad it was with that song, which is one of the not so good tracks. Meredith Brooks enters with another single "I Need", wich needs no explanation, cause it sure bombed. And eternal at 18 with "Save Our Love"

20.- Eternal & Bebe Winans - I Wanna Be The Only One

That number 4 debut, materialized thanks to one of my cousins, who recorded a horribble transmision of the "Jóga" video on MTV and he recorded it. Then, he connected some cables and it went from the videotape to a cassette I kept listening. It was all horrible, but I had the song! First single from Björk's third solo album. At 13, another debut by No Doubt, which is tiring, they just keep debuting! At 17, Bush with "Cold Contagious" a great rocking song. At 18, a group that i think already disappeared, The Verve Pipe with what wasn't their biggest hit (That one was "The Freshman") the song "Cup Of Tea". And finally at 19, Gary Barlow with "My Commitment", where he goes all girly on us with that high pitched falsetto that was hard to enjoy... but it seems I did anyway jajajjaja!

19.- Moloko - Fun For Me (DEBUT)
20.- Take That - Pray (DEBUT)

Moloko's "Fun For Me" appeared in multiple compilations and soundtracks, so it was bound to be discovered by me. Too bad that the band really really suck (with a few exceptions), and when the singer went solo in 2005 with "Ruby Blue", a new form of awfulness was forged. Also at 20 we have the entrance of Take That with "Pray", one of their best songs
